The Census Bureau estimates Westfield grew from 46,446 residents in 2020 to 62,994 in July 2024, about 35.6% (part of that is annexation). The City of Westfield says it does not require permits for alarm systems. Westfield's city code (§ 34.182) treats more than three false alarms in a 12-month period as excessive, issues a warning for each false alarm, and makes no distinction between fire and security false alarms. Westfield is in Hamilton County, so Indianapolis' Chapter 811 alarm ordinance (explained here) does not apply. We set every system up and walk you through it to keep false alarms to a minimum.
